Terms
Plain terms, in the same words used on the rest of the site. If anything here isn’t clear, email us before you pay — we’d rather answer than argue later.
What you get
One custom one-page website, built to order: the design, the copy written from your answers, images sourced or prepared, a responsive build, your domain connected, hosting set up, and the SEO basics.
What it costs
$1,000, by card, in two halves. $500 when you order, which starts the work. The other $500 once you’ve approved the finished page, before it goes live on your domain. There are no monthly fees. The only recurring cost is your domain, paid to your registrar — not to us.
How long it takes
Five business days, counted from the day your brief is complete. Your whole page is on a link for you by day three, and ready for you to approve by day five. If we’re waiting on you — answers, photos, domain access — the clock pauses. We reply within 24 hours on working days and ask the same of you.
If we’re late
If the finished page isn’t ready for you to approve within five business days, and the delay is ours rather than a wait on you, we refund your $500 deposit in full. This is the only case in which the deposit is refunded.
Revisions
Two rounds are included. A round is one list of changes, turned around within 24 hours on working days. The first round can be as big as “this isn’t us” — we’ll redo the look, not just the words. The second is for the remaining details. Unused rounds expire 14 days after we hand over the finished page.
Further rounds are charged like changes after launch, below. Paid rounds fall outside the five days.
Stopping before launch
Either of us can stop the project at any point before launch — you, if it still isn’t what you want; us, if we can see we won’t get there. We keep the deposit for the work done, you don’t owe the second half, and the page doesn’t go live.
Sign-off
If we’ve sent you a version and haven’t heard back for five business days, we’ll treat the work as accepted and send the invoice for the second half. We’ll email you a reminder before that happens. The page goes live on your domain once that invoice is paid.
If you go quiet
If you stop responding for 30 days before the brief is finished, we’ll archive the project. You can pick it back up any time within six months at no extra cost.
After launch
Anything broken is our problem and we fix it free, with no time limit. Changes are priced like this:
- $50 per request for text and photos — a price, an address, opening hours, a swapped picture. As many of these as you like in one request.
- $150 for each new or reworked section of the page. Any text and photo changes sent in the same request are included.
You tell us what you want changed; we reply with the price within 24 hours on working days. Nothing is charged until you agree, and the work is done within one business day of payment.
What you own
The domain, the code and the hosting account are yours once the second half is paid. The domain is bought in your name from the start. You can move all of it somewhere else on any day, without asking us.
What isn’t included
- Multi-page sites, blogs and online stores
- Logo and brand identity work
- Ongoing management or content updates
- Setting up a booking system from scratch. If you already use one we connect it at no extra cost; if you don’t and you need one, that’s a one-off $150
- Advertising, campaigns and SEO beyond the basics
- The cost of your domain and any paid third-party services you choose to use
